Does my Dell mobo work on a Sonata case?

OK, so in my quest to get a proper computer going slowly, I want to start by putting my Dell 4600 into a Sonata case (so I have a >250w psu  ). I have asked before and have heard that there might be problems because Dell loves to change there stuff around, specifically how the power goes into the motherboard. So here are some pics, I think I could use the Sonata case....

Power
This looks pretty standard to me, just the 20-pin power connector going into the motherboard. Nothing extra as far as I can see.

Mobo
This is a better pic of the area. You can see that the front power button has its own connection to the motherboard (too right, green plastic, wire to mobo) and that the front sound also has its own connectino (bottom blue wire). Also, yes Dell put my hard drive right there, standing up. Thanks,. buddy.

Anyway, these looks pretty standard to me, so should I go ahead and order a Sonata II case? Any woprry about the screws lining up on this motherboard (you can see a few there in the 2nd pic, idk if they would fit into a standard case).

More pics upon request!

Maybe it's just me, but I'm wondering why you want to reuse the Dell motherboard at all.

im not "reusing" it, im building a comp slowly bc i have to wait a while to get the new stuff :). I want to start with a case. Gotta pay for school.

Another concern of mine is that the Sonata II comes with I believe a 24pin PSU...that a problem with my 20pin motherboard? Dont they extra pins either not a problem or can come off?
From Antec page: "Specially designed low-noise SmartPower 2.0 450W ATX12V v2.01 power supply"

I don't know abotu the PSU; have you tried checking that stickied PSU @ the top? It might have some information for you.

As far as whether the mobo will fit or not, the easiest thing I guess would be to find out the model and Google it to see if it's ATX compliant. If it is, I imagine it would fit.

And that's about as much help as I can give you, so I'm gonna go wander off now.

I'm pretty sure that dell does not use the atx standard, so the screws will probably not line up correctly. If your doing this just for a better power supply, some companies make special psu's to use in dells.

sounds like i should just buy a whole new comp instead of waiting. i have the money but feel bad spending it all @ once bc my rents are constantly givin me sh1t about saving money (although im sure i can afford it, im not going uber expensive).
Still would like to confirm about the screws....
also, the board is mico-atx, but as to whether or not its "standard" as in the industry standard of screw holes and the like, i just dont know.
