Does MSI slotket lock to processor support?

My slot 1 mobo does not have a universal support/lock device which makes me uneasy. Some people have told me that the lock is not needed and even if I had one, some slotkets do not lock to them anyway. Is this something to worry about and what about the MSI slotket? Will it lock if I dig up a processor support? Any advise is appreciated.

I have the same problem and it DOES cause problems. Try to make a band over the top with plastic zip ties or something.
