Just wondering if that mainboard with support the new venice core.

I building a new computer now, and thought about using
MSI RS480M2-IL and AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice

My biggest fear is that the cpu won't post, and there is no way for me to update the new bios once it is out.

If you know the answer, please tell me. Since I computerless right now. (Just sold my computer yesterday, will order a new one as soon as this question is answered)

thank you.

Hey, I found out it will post. but C&Q won't work for now...

and that venice acutally comsume more power than winnie. Since RS480M2 can't OC, and I using it as HTPC.(so no need for SSE3, I think)
so I just get a winnie. Saves me 30 bucks.
more info on here. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/athlon64-venice_6.html
so I'll be getting
MSI RS480M2-IL
Athlon 64 3000+ winnie retail
NEC 3520A
Athenatech A100SC.200 case+PSU
200GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 SATA
CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB)

May I ask something about MSI RS480?

1) Is it mobo OK with S3 (suspend on RAM mode)? Or it seems to have different that usual voltage and cpu temp after restore from s3?

2) Is there a problem with msi rs480 and aria case? I think I have seen somewhere that aria case supports specific matx mobos (the problem has to do with the PCI-EXPRESS card position on motherboard).
