Does Microsoft have a XP update bundle?

Does MS make a bundle of updates or are we just out of luck until SP3 is released? Why don't they update disks like Apple does?

I know there are some other ways to get it with nlite and some other stuff (which haven't worked with my copy of windows from my University), but I would like a direct from MS solution.
