Does "metered connection" (Wifi) in Windows 10 still give you security updates?

I use Windows 10 Home. To block those big feature (version) updates like the Fall Creators update, certain sites recommend setting your wifi connection (which i use at home) to "metered connection".

Now, what are the disadvantages of metered connection? Will you still get security updates like the monthly quality updates? Any other drawbacks?
