Does "memorial" mean "money"?

Memorials would mean something more along the line of possessions with significant meaning, like a childs favorite toy, or some photographs, etc.

Oh, and just FYI, a memorial is just something in honor of another person. The line you gave seems to be as Fobot says, but a memorial isn't defined as a monetary donation.

typical they mean a charitable donation. They do not want flowers or other useless items being wasted.
