Does meeting the right girl depend more on chance, or motivation?

Do you think meeting the right girl, as in like finding a girlfriend is something that just takes motivation to go out there and do (such as dating different girls, or meeting different girls, etc)

or do you think that it is more determined by chance. Like its something that you dont really have a lot of control over, and the time when you find your girlfriend, will be the time when the right cards fall into place, and you by chance happen to bump into a cool girl.

you think its more so the first, more so the second, or equally both?
 
I think it's more chance - then again, I'm mor a belier in fate and such (not to hijack it into a religion thread) but I think when you're *ready* then you'll have both the motivation and the chance to meet that someone.

If you're "motivated" to get your right hand off your mouse, your left hand off your crotch, and your ass to the club, you might increase your "chance"s of meeting the right girl.
