Does LCD screen monitor beams out radiations that would harm your eyes?

I just recently purchased my very first LCD screen and felt it had less strain on my eye after prolong use, but I am not sure if it still has the same radiation like the traditional CRT monitor has that would harm your eye and cause your eye degree go up???

The search button is your friend.

1) LCDs don't give off as much radiation as CRT monitors, but realistically the radiation from a CRT is miniscule.

2) The eye strain isn't from the radiation, its from the refresh rate and text quality of your monitor.

don't get too paranoid though.. because light itself is radiation..

Eh, well, i'll say this. Everything gives off radation. Speakers, computers, TV's, radios, even rocks!

Go stand outside awhile; you'll get more radiation than you'll probably ever get from a CRT monitor.
