Does LCD ghosting cause any health problems?

I purchased a new monitor which has noticeable ghosting only in certain 3d games (not all, or at least not in all situations in all games). It doesn't really bother me that much - overall I prefer the new monitor because it (oddly) has greatly reduced glare and better color / brightness. My old monitor, a viewsonic, also seems to have power fluctuations (screen goes bright for 30 seconds then back to dark). I only notice ghosting generally if I'm looking for it or making extreme turns frequently.

However, I'm wondering about the health implications. I know that playing a low framerate game for too long can cause headaches / eyesore. Some of the effects of ghosting are kind of similar. Is there anything for me to be concerned about if I'm using this monitor all the time in 3d games?

if you are concerned about health caused by ghosting, why not get a LCD that does not casue ghosting??? there are plenty out there, and not for much more money...

That's why I created this thread. I don't want to go through the effort and cost to return a monitor if it's unnecessary, but if I could be causing myself literal headaches by keeping it, I'd like to know so I can return it in time. Jesus. I expected such thread crapping in OT but not here.

Well, let's see... carpal tunnel, bad eyesight, headaches. If you get any of those, you'll be just as likely to get them on a non-ghosting LCD. So, to answer your question, no, ghosting will not cause any health problems.

Thanks. I'm also starting to doubt whether it's ghosting or just reduced smoothness due to some frame rate reduction that I can't account for. Is "ghosting" always in the form of blurred motion, or can it manifest itself in "jagged" motion? I do experience blur every once in a while, but the thing that I assumed was ghosting is actually stuff like, scrolling a web site that has black background with white text, the text "darkens" during the period of scrolling and then is back to its normal brightness when I stop. Or when I turn suddenly in certain games, I see the edge of a building animated as if it were stop motion instead of a smooth movement.
