Does J. Allard know what the fvck he's talking about?

Rather than embed quote after quote, I'll go for the gusto and simply say, WHAT THE FVCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

The easiest way to define the era is by the visual quality. You know, in 2D and 3D we had analog controls, and we went from cartridge to CD. The first person shooter genre was born. Da-dada-dada... Lots of things happened between 2D and 3D, and the same thing is going to happen between 3D and HD.
Also, on numerous occassions during his GDC keynote he said stuff like "We're moving to the HD Era of gaming"

So what's your point? High definition gaming on a large television set in someone's living room is going to change gaming and creep ever closer to competing with the PC in graphics. High Definition gaming is a vast improvement on top of standard game resolution.

I dunno, I'm bored, and have way too much caffiene in my system. It just sounded stupid to hear someone like the whatever the hell he is of MS comparing 3D to HD, as far as I'm concerned, they haven't added another dimension to gaming. Besides, most of my XBOX games can do 720p anyways, whats new?
