Yeah, and have it run in the background on my fileserver every time the system starts as if I BUIT IT FOR iTunes!
Because it's a DRM application, I expect it to leave fingerprint information of some kind on a system that should be otherwise pristine. When I get VMWARE set back up, that shouldn't be a problem but ATM it is. Even then though, a VMWAR virtual machine is not adequate for purchasing music because you can't burn it to a virtual burner or copy the protected tracks to your regular machine. You can't even listen to them decently when the audio is passed from a virtual machine to a real machine.

Uh, use Napster instead?
Yeah, I checked. They do not have the soundtrack, but they claim to have multiple "Lebowski-related" tracks.

Uh use neither? DRM is the devil, why in the hell would you have the media companies only let you "licsense your music" and not own it!?
DRM is a God-send for people with a Napster2Go compatible player. DRM actually made it possible to download thousands of song to fill up a 60GB player for the cost of a cheap subscription. It wouldn't be possible without DRM and we'd be stuck paying $0.50-$0.99 a track otherwise making it damn near impossible to fill up a player legally. Who cares if you don't own the song? You can buy it too, subscribe to everything else. It doesn't set some sort of precedent regarding property rights either. Buy music to keep, subscribe to music to go. Simple. Now, buying a game and then having to pay to play it, THAT sets a precedent I don't like. MMORPGs should shove discs into everyone's mailboxes like AOL if they want willing subscribers. Not charge $100 for a Collector's Edition in stores.
