does it still work to guess the http:// address numbers??

Whenever something that you want is about to get posted you can normally try and replace the number in the url with a new one to see if the document is there. I haven't had luck with this in forever. Has anybody had it to work recently??

Not recently (i haven't tried though), but I have found my share of articles before they were posted on the main page here in my day.

Oh I get it. Anand's articles. I thought you meant people's posts in the forums. You'd have to be psychic to figure that out.

He means like when a new article is about to be posted... e.g.

You can replace that with 1467 and read it early.

well not even necessarily anand's. it's just that it seems that nobody leaves files on servers anymore unless they are going straight to the main page. where's the fun in all of that?
