Does it sound like the PSU is kaput

Have had no issues with my computer until yesterday, heard a clicking sound coming from the bottom of the PSU (fan in on bottom) cooler master 550 brand.

My first thought was something is touching the fan blade making the nose.

I disconnect everything open the case and use a can of air to clean out some dust.

Put it back together, turn it on and ..it will not post, Starts all fans and lights come on for about 3 seconds and then shuts down. Will repeat this process until I turn off power.

Does it sound like my PSU is shot...or something more?

Any ideas would be helpful.

You can test the PSU to see if it's turning on. Do a google search on how to turn on an ATX PSU without a motherboard/case.
