Does it matter which XP cd you use when repairing an installation?

I need to repair my installation of XP (by using the installation disc, selecting install xp, then repair), but my copy of xp is about 100 miles from here at college. However...my dad's disc is right here. Does it matter which I use? If I use my dad's, will that mess up the product activation?
Also, can I use a pro edition cd to repair a home edition?

You should be able to use any XP CD if you're only repairing an install (unless there is something majorly wrong). There are only relatively superficial differences between Home and Pro anyway. Just don't try and fully re-install.
