Does it matter in what order you install memory?

I have on stick of 256MB DDRram in DIMM slot one and 512MB DDRram in slot two. Should it be the other way around? (Big Bertha rig in sig)

I don't think it really matters. If you are not having any trouble, than I'd think it's fine as is.

Well that's the thing, I just added the 256MB and I started having system failures. I have now switched them around and so far .................no failures. Cross my fingures.

Same here, I always run the larger stick of RAM in the first slot and work my way down, hope this helps 🙂
 
Well since I made the switch for the biggest stick first, the system has been very stable.
