Does it matter if you mix and match RAM?

Will it damage my mobo, (or any other components) if I use a PC100 along w/ a PC133 RAM?

no it doesn't matter, as long as your mobo is running at the speed that the PC100 mem is comfortable at.

however, according to Maximum PC magazine, mix and matching Mem is ILLEGAL in 17 states or so.... (gee... so many forumers will be in jail or fined by now.......)

As long as you are not running @133mhz than all should be smooth. I run a stick of 256meg rated 133mhz and a stick of 256meg rated 100mhz on a p3650 with absolutely no problems.

No harm, however the Pooter will only run as fast as the slowest RAM installed...if ya know what I mean.
