...to connect my car's headunit to the amps? Both have gold plated RCA connectors. Will I be seeing any loss in SQ by using cheaper RCA cables such as those that can be purchased at Radio Shack?

Quite potentially.
You don't need silver magnesium alloy cores shielded by native american pubic hair, but having quality interconnects preserves SQ. Although the old addage of garbage in garbage out comes to mind, so if the rest of your system is junk then good RCA cables arn't going to do jack.

Monster Cables are BY FAR better quality. I don't care what anyone says....look man, if you buy the best, you'll only have to buy one.

you only have 1 left. I'd need 4 (1 for front speakers, 1 for rear speakers, one for sub, one to connect DMP1 to headunit)

Yea, how come all the retailers took the cheap stuff off and now only stock Monster cable? I couldn't find a decent cable at Target for a good price. Either they had really junk stuff or they had the uber expensive Monster crap.

PurdueRy up there has the right idea. Cablesforless gives you pretty good cables for very reasonable prices.

I've noticed this too.... quite annoying that you can't walk into a Target or Walmart and find some regular cable.

I despise Monster Cable... will never fall for their marketing again. :|

Radio Shack's gold series isn't bad and not too expensive. Probably good enough to get the job done. I'd probably get it from a site like the one mentioned above or bluejeanscable.
