Really, whats internet access needed in the ER for? "I need to dump my Intel stock quick before the value drops more?" ;) Are they doing some sort of conferencing or what I wonder....

Or so they can check WebMD when they're stumped. I'd rather them do that than to dial up while I'm bleeding to death.

it's odd that they're running dsl... most hospitals use t1's and even 3's for the larger hospitals..t1's are considered public utilities and only have a certain ammount of downtime that is allowed

I wouldn't think having such bandwith (a T1 or greater) would really matter for a community hospital.
