Does it make sense to spend almost $5 on deodorant?

I leave the house occasionally, and would like to wear deodorant, but anything decent costs around $4.50 and when you include tax and/or shipping it's getting to $5.

I'm not in a shortage of money, but it seems kind of rediculous to pay $5 for deodorant. But from what I read in the personal grooming forums, it seems like people are tripping over each other to buy these things.

For many generations, no deodorant at all was just fine but that's not the case any more.

Arm & Hammer > All other deodorants

I buy it when it's on sale for... 2/3$ I believe. 2 sticks last my girlfriend and I like 3-4 months.

i remember one time when i was in school that i forgot to put on my deodorant for the day

first hour was biology class, so what do i do? dig in the arm and hammer box and apply a little bit when nobodys looking

the class was packed, basically there was a matrix of desks in the middle of the class, encircled by lab stations in the back half of the class. i was lucky and sat in the back on the stools so i guess i lucked out that day

worked pretty well too

What do you mean "anything decent?" The point is to make you not smell, every deodorant I've ever used has accomplished that. I got 4 big sticks of Old Spice at Costco for $6.

This thread started to stink of parody when I noticed "tax and shipping" in the OP.

Nicely done though. 9/10 :beer::D

They last quite a long time unless you rub it all over your body, so 5 bucks really isn't that big of a hit
