Does it bother you that a recent immigrant has so much political power in U.S.?

Firstly being a citizen for 24 years is hardly recent. Geez, what's not recent to you? 50 years?!

Next, I'm sure he cares if he brings down the US system of democracy, since the Australian system is actually quite similar. It's not like he's from some backwater 3rd world dictatorship.

Lastly, you sound like a xenophobe.

Yeah you can talk about what a great defender of democracy Soros is but the reality is he is a businessman. A exceedingly successful businessman just like Rupert Murdoch is. If there is one thing we should all know by now is that successful businessmen always do what is in their best business interests. Soros does and so does Murdoch. They may have differring political viewpoints but one thing they will always agree on is that politics are a means to an end for them. They will do politically what they see as best for their business interests period. In Soros case he has done plenty of less than ethical business deals but his liberal supporters can't see past his political activities to see that. Murdoch has as stated here done his share of questionable deals as well but his conservative suppoerters can't see past his Fox News Channel to see that. I think both men are personally reprehensible and lacking in ethics and character. Anyone who looks up to them as some kind of example is misguided.

Uh, well I wondered just who the subject was. I figured it couldn't be Obama, but nobody else came to mind.

You have found the explanation for Bill Gates' donating 95% of his fortune to global health charity - as a businessman, he "always [does] what is in [his] best interests."

Clearly, just as Gates could have no other motive for health charity, Soros can have no other motive for Democracy charity, and he's just like Murdoch.

They're all clearly 'reprehensible and lacking in ethics'. You are ignorant.

Hahahaha I glanced over this due to the title. Glad I clicked on it now. I thought this would be something about the millions of illegals here who are petitioning the state and the taxpayers to push legislation favorable to them. Instead it is techs blabbing about one guy who is a naturalized citizen for 25 years and employs thousands of people.

You forgot the </Hillary Clinton> tag as well.

I think she said she takes him at his word, lol. Colbert has a running thing with this Fl congressman proposing a bill requiring birth certs for pres candidates. Colbert proposed legislation requiring congressmen to prove they aren't part alligator heh. probably have to watch it.

I believe that people who come from out of culture have deeper insights into who we are better than we do because they are free from the cultural bias that goes with our identity. I think it accounts for why so many foreigners do so well when they come here. Americans have the same advantage when they move some place else.
