Does Iron Man have what it takes?

The newest trailer makes this movie begin to look a little less hype and a bit more promise. The only HD capture I was able to find was located here:

Anyone seen a HD copy that wasn't limited to such a small resolution? Clicking on 1080p on the myspace HD trailer doesn't actually do anything.

Have to click on Iron Man in "Now Playing" below the irritating intro.

Not the new one, no. When I went to check out the apple trailers all I saw was the old teaser they've been playing before movies for some six months. The one on the myspace trailers page is new and shows many interesting technological tidbits about the main character, the suits, etc.

I wasn't looking forward to this movie based on who was starring in it, but when I saw the trailer for the first time last night on TV and Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" started playing, I got pumped.

I agree That's a man's movie though bignateyk, the little boy's might consider it "stale"

Most of the movie's released this year though have been reducing my theatre presence a bit I'm soooooo going to see Speed Racer and Iron Man though

I've been pumped for this since I saw the first teaser trailer last year. The more I've seen and heard (like Samuel L Jackson showing up as Col Fury) the more pumped I've gotten.

May 2nd can't come soon enough.

I was planning to see it in a theater at some point, but now that they've set opening night on the day before my birthday I'll be seeing it right away.

Yeah, flavoured is as fart as it goes though. That stuff gives me the schlitz.

The script writers for Children of Men wrote Iron Man. So, there's hope yet.

I hope it'll be good, but I think Harold and Kumar comes out at the end of this month and so does Forgetting Sarah Marshal (supposedly it's good!) as well as The Forbidden Kingdom. The only thing about The Forbidden Kingdom that bothers me is it looks like a foreign movie (oriental setting + Jet Li + Jackie Chan + all Oriental cast except one!) yet it's all in English. It just sounds odd as I'm used to seeing movies like that in Japanese or Mandarin.

Looks like they are trying to do something liek Japanese High Fantasy... Something Jade Empireish... Still looks interesting

H & K should be outstanding...


On first hearing they were going to make a CGI Iron Man, I was upset... then I found out that it would star a well known coke head and realized that it couldn't have been casted better. obviously someone who knows what they are doing is in charge... should be excellent.

unfortunately I already know that this will end with extreme disappointment. Knowing the Joker lives yet there will never be a sequel... No matter how good it is there will still be that fact to deal with...

I liked the first trailer but the second one kind of turned me off.

I just hope they don't ruin it. That one interrogator guy... I can't remember his name, but it seems most movies he's in end up bad. But as long as NPH is in it, it should be redeemable .

Thought about seeing that or Leatherheads, but ended up seeing neither of them. I might go try to see one this weekend since nothing good comes out.

Not sure about H&K, but FSM is April 18. I plan on going to both FSM and IM. FSM does look good, but I also want to go to support Jason Segel and Kristen Bell.

I am a comic freak and love most of the marvel movies which Iron Man has always been my favorite but I refuse to support this one because of who the star is..........which sucks.

last movie i saw in theaters was I am Legend. just dont see the point of paying $10+ for a ticket when the movie doesnt really require the theater's better sound system and visuals.

the only people the theatres are stale to are those who expect to see Braveheart and T2 type movies everytime they step into the theatre.

i've seen plenty of good/entertaining movies in the theatre the past 2 years.
