Does industrial design affect your perceptions?

I like having cool-looking computer stuff. Like, have you ever seen someone's computer with like an Athlon X2 with 2 gigs of ram, 15k SCSI drives, 2 gigs of ram, and it's all in a biege case instead of something rockin like a Lian-li or Coolermaster? It's kind of disappointing. How bout you, do looks influence your thoughts about computers, performance, functionality, etc.?

the only thing that I honestly would think of in that regard is cooling - most crap beige cases have crap cooling (P150 excluded).

But deep down, if I'm true to myself...then ya, it irks me a bit - let that X2 SHINE BABY!

I prefer more tasteful restrained looks but yes beige boxes are an eyesore.
