I got a IT7 now and i was thinking of upgrading to a i875 board for dual DDR but i wasnt sure if it would suppor the older pentiums... so does the i875p support my socket 478 Pentium 2.0A?
One thing to keep in mind about the 875P chipset is that it will not work with 400MHz FSB CPUs, only 800/533MHz parts. If you want 400MHz FSB support you'll have to wait for the 865/Springdale chipset.

The Intel® 875P chipset is designed for systems based on the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor or the
processor code named Prescott and supports FSB frequencies of 400 MHz, 533 MHz, and
800 MHz. The 875P chipset contains two main components: Memory Controller Hub (MCH) for
the host bridge and I/O Controller Hub for the I/O subsystem. The 875P chipset uses either the
Intel® 82801EB ICH5 or 82801ER ICH5R for the I/O Controller Hub. This document is the
datasheet for the 82875P Memory Controller Hub (MCH) component.
