Does HSF vibration affect OC stability / CPU life?

I run a Tornado 92mm at 3600rpm for my OC'd rig (P4), HS is XP90. I found out the fan vibrates a lot after touching the HS body. Does this affect the OC stability or even the life of the CPU? I can't find any other 92mm fan out there that is as powerful and doesn't vibrate too much (such as Papst's).

Is all that rotation really necessary? How high is your oc?

Vibrating? Hmm, I've never had a problem with that and my Tornado  I personally don't see any reason why it'd affect the overclock or anything like that.

Did you put those little rubber/neoprene strips on the heatsink below the fan? Thermalright ususally includes those with their heatsinks to reduce fan vibration

sneakystuff, yes, it needs >3200rpm at (3.0c@258FSB,1.6v,P4C800E), any lower, 2 x prime fails within an hour (temp goes > 60c), but is ok at screamer speeds (temp maintained at 57c).

vegetto, well, i am new to tornadoes, but compared to panaflo 2800rpm H1A and papst 92 fan, i think the vibration is a cause for some concern (or probably not, as I've seen some older thermalright HSs with recommended Delta EHE's too). actually, as I thought the provided rubber strips were too thin to help, I mounted the fan on thicker rubber strips (about 3mm thick).

Well, if you have everything secured tightly, there isn't much more you can do but hope for the best.
