Does heartburn actually hurt around the area of your heart?

I feel it more deep in my throat. It's probably just a heart attack...walk it off.

It feels like it does at times, but it's obviously not your heart that is in pain (unless you're home alone on V-Day :)).

I think if you have gas it can make something push on your vagus nerve and make your chest hurt. Or maybe it's only a heart attack, you just never know. If you wake up it was probably just the gas thing though.

Well, its been hurtin off and on for 3 hours now so i kinda ruled out heart attack. Usually stuff like this doesnt bother me and I do walk it off, but after seein your roommate die on your floor from a heart attack at 17 it gives you a new perspective on your ticker......

I wouldn't, just because you're not dead doesn't mean it isn't one, but it could be caused by a lot of things.

I knew a dude who went around telling everyone he had a "heart condition" when he really had heartburn. It was pretty funny. Now he tells everyone he has cancer, but that's another story.

Yeah, it can make your chest hurt, but you're not gonna die.
