hey guyz !

I'm planing on going from 22"(1600*1024) lcd to 24" (1920*1080) LED monitor, and it's really rare in my country to find a D-DVI interface on a monitor .... So I was wondering about HDMI performance @1080P VS. D-DVI performance at the same resolution !?

I really need your HELP !

Doesnt matter. HDMI is basicly DVI+Sound. Tho HDMI can give a few scaling issues. But those are easy correctable in GFX settings. (And I think it only applies to TVs.)

Don't they apply even if you attach the display using DVI (as long as the driver thinks the display is expecting an overscanned image)?

Anyway, with ATI/AMD I have to manually set overscan to 0% for my TV in Catalyst initially and every now and then (rarely). With Nvidia overscan is disabled by default for my TV (which is what my TV actually expects).

I use HDMI for my monitor as well (because of smaller connectors and a flat cable) and it's never caused any issues.

No, it won't have any effect on performance. Performance - frames per second - isn't determined by how you connect the monitor. The monitor's performance i.e. image quality can show a minor difference when comparing digital and analog connections, but HDMI and DVI are both digital.

I think he meant input lag though, lehtv. And no, it shouldn't make a difference (at least not as long as you don't use HDCP).
