I have a Seagate 7200RPM 160GB SATA Barracuda drive, and my case has a fan in front of the hard drives. However, I want to use this fan somewhere else, and I don't have any other fans handy so can I remove the hard drive fan? It's not cooling anything else besides the single hard drive (I use the Lian-Li V1000 which as a seperate HDD compartment) and a fan there seems kinda wasted. Is it safe to run my HDD without a fan? I mean I know a lot of people put their HDDs in the 5 1/2 drive bays, which have no fans, so I figure it would be safe. Thanks!
