Does having a dynamic IP offer any protection against hackers?

Well i would think that a dynamic IP would help in the sense that the hacker can't repeadilty try and hack away to get into your system since your ip changes from connection to connection. But sometimes all a hacker needs is just one try. Run a firewall.

I thought maybe if you used a dynamic IP through your ISP's host server you might also be protected by their hardware firewall, which would be better than a ZoneAlarm and such. Guess that's not true?
