Does Google sell search info?

I did a Google search for "andro" yesterday. Today I checked my Excite email account and found three emails with subject lines regarding muscle growth. It has been long enough since I received any similar emails at that account that I don't remember the last time I got anything similar.

I only did one search and only clicked on about three sites, two of them were forums that don't sell products. The strangest thing is that I never entered my Excite email address anywhere.

Does Google somehow find user info stored on a computer?

There is no way Google can get your email address from searching.

Did you register that address with the Google Toolbar maybe?

Google can do no wrong. They can break into your house and steal all of your possessions, kidnap your children and sell them for slavery, and tattoo 'loser' onto your forehead and it's your fault, not theirs!

If it is like any of the spam I get you should read closer to see which "muscle" they claim growth for.

No, Google didn't do it.
You've got spyware that watched what you were searching for.
Run Spybot Search and Destroy AND Ad-Aware to remove it.

You were right, I ran Ad-Aware and it found 30 things. One was something like "SearchIt Toolbar."

Thanks
