Does going from 1GB->2GB affect OC?

Rig in sig. Just switched from 1GB dimms to 2GB dimms and I haven't been able to reach the clocks I have been able to in the past on my CPU. I used to hit 2.5Ghz on stock (1.35v), 2.6Ghz on 1.375v and 2.7Ghz on 1.4875v. Now I need 1.375v to hit 2.5Ghz and 1.45v++ to hit 2.6Ghz. 2.7Ghz is no longer reachable. I thought it was my bios at first so I updated to the latest version. Still no good. I had a problem with the 1006 bios after I put in the 2GB dimms. If I set the vcore to anything between 1.3875 and 1.5, the vcore would always be stuck at 1.39v. So have any of you experienced this?

check the timings

The cpus are working harder with 2GB and may limit OC to some extent..but seems memory controller is worker "harder" and needs looser timings with DC chips..my single venice did much better with same ram

I guess this makes sense...and in the end ram speed is not a big deal for the Opteron/X2?A64 chips
