Hah .... but at least I'm a good tipper 🙂

GM owns about 20% of Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru), about 20% of Suzuki, and about 12% of Isuzu (formerly 49%) as well as all of Saab, Opel, Vauxhall, and more than a few other companies. But none of Hyundai.

DaimlerChrysler owns about 10% of Hyundai and Mitsubishi owns some of Hyundai as well, of which DaimlerChrysler owns a small chunk of Mitsubishi.

GM outright OWNS Daewoo auto. I was VERY disappointed to find out that my Leganza has a GM engine in it. Not surprised, mind you, when the head gasket blew at only 80,000 miles. If I had known that it was in fact an AMERICAN made POS I wouldn't have bought it.

Down with American cars! They suck giant donkey balls!

I define a "good" tipper as someone who doesn't just throw money everywhere because it's "tradition" but sticks to the original intention of the idea.

Daewoo has been around and making shiotty cars way before GM ever had their eye on them. Talk to any Korean who's dealt with the auto industry in Korea. I did when I was working for GM. I was talking to some little old Korean lady with a thick accent. She was sweet 🙂 However, when I told her that the car she was interested was a result of a partnership between GM and Daewoo (she didn't know Daewoo was involved) she FLIPPED and started saying "no! nonono! No Daewoo! GM make big mistake! Daewoo is garbage! Every Korean know!" It was kinda funny to listen to, but she decided not to buy it just because Daewoo was involved.
