Does FX-55 USE MEMORY BANDWITH

Enough to justify the overclocking of the memory ?
In real world games and applications does it make a difference ?
I was able to overclock my memory to 257x11 with no crashes (thanks to a matrix that I found here)
Benchmark of Ram Bandwith are in the 7140 range (sandra)
but what does this really do ? what is the REAL advantage to this on the A64 platform ?
I would think that overclocking the cpu would be better for the overall performance more so than the memory ?

anyone can help with this ?

Ram speed will help slightly with an A64, but not nearly as much as with a P4. If you're overclocking, CPU speed is the most important factor, everythign else comes after that.

Your Ram in particular is designed to run at a very high FSB speed, so it's a good match for the FX-55. Find your CPU's max by adjusting the multiplier up (to take the RAM out of it) and increasing the FSB speed until it isn't stable. If your ram will handle this FSB speed with really good timings (2-2-2-6 being optimal on nForce boards), then great. If not, use a divider to get your RAM to the highest speed possible with tight timings (which are more important on AMD platforms) and at the same time keeping your CPU at it's max. It doesn't really affect performance too much to use a divider, so don't worry if you can't run 1:1. This way you get the best out of your CPU and RAM
