I've got Full Coverage Insurance with AAA. Last night I noticed a dent on my car, probably just from somebody opening a door to far next to me. Will AAA pay me for this? Is there anything I should say/do that would increase the chances of them paying for it or paying me more for it? thanks

Don't know much about it, but I don't think you should get them to pay for this. Even if it is covered, its considered a claim, and I think your rates go up.

Yes, it should pay for it , but you will have to pay your deductable. Better get an estimate first, because it may cost less to fix it than your deductable amount. I had this happen once and the ins. co. told me it would be turned in as a hit and run. Why do people slam their door into others anyway? I can park in the farthest part of the nearly empty lot and it never fails that when I go back to my car a couple of @#$% will have parked so close to me that I can barely get in my car.

they will pay for the damage minus the deductible.

ie if you have $250 deductible, and it costs $300 to fix, they will give you $50.

They will also note that against your policy, and your rates will be subject to increase at the next time you renew.

Remember folks: Insurance is just a loan to cover damages. They don't make money by losing money :)

Unless its a major major dent don't bother because like people said after paying your deductible even if you get some cash from them it will count as a claim (even if somebody else did it)...

Unless you're really tight up for money (well in this case if you are just live with the dent!) any time you have to get your car fixed unless its a lot of money its rarely worth bugging your insurance company about it.
