Does FIOS tv require a verizon router?

I am looking at switching to Verizon FIOS for internet, tv, phone but I like the way I have my network currently setup with the cable modem feeding the ip address to my DDWRT router. I did find bridging instructions for the Actiontek router that they require you to have but there was a note about not being able to use bridging if you have FIOS tv. Is this true? Can I not put the router into bridging mode so it acts like a cablemodem if I have FIOS tv?

The answer looks to be yes it does. I might be able to have them bridge their router to my router.

If you are using their boxes, yes, if you are using a cablecard and get guide data from elsewhere, no.
