Does Far Cry come with a cd key?

I got Far Cry for free with that A64 Promo 6-7 months ago.... I was thinking of selling it since i don't play it anymore, but i dont see a cd key.

Does it even have one?

I recently picked up FC off the FS/FT forum for my brother. It was the 5-CD version, and the CD key was printed on the back of one of the CD sleeves.

I didnt get a manual with this, it was just the dvd in a sleve...

I think the cd key is for multiplayer only.

all these zeroes which talk about sleeves got their game as some kind of oem bonus when buying hardware. If you have the retail version with its fancy 5-disc cd case (actually the case can hold 6 cd's) then it's printed on the backside of the manual, as stated by the wise biostud (btw, the manual also fits inside the cd case).

if u guys actually read what he said he got the dvd promo version with the SLEEVE no retail SHlT meaning no manuals!

I've not played the used copy of FC that I bought recently (see my first post above), but it didn't prompt me for the CD key during the installation or when I started FC up for the first time.

I would test it out to see if it works, but i currently have no drives in my computer

I guess i'll give it a shot on thursday when my new dvd burner arrives....

Should have a key... even promo versions are not exempt from piracy protection.
