Does F.E.A.R. have a native widescreen mode?

From what I've been reading, you need to manually edit the config file.

Why the hell aren't these developers including native widescreen? Don't they even know how many gamers are buying widescreen monitors?

This ticks me off. I shouldn't have to edit some stupid config file to get the game to run in widescreen. Even if I do edit the config file the HUD is probably going to be stretched.

HL2 came out over a year ago and it came with native widescreen support!!! Get with the program people!!!

And the option of having a subtitle or closed caption would be sweet as well since I'm deaf... HL2 also came out with this included, get on with the program...

Yea its a shame a game like FEAR doesnt have native widescreen support ..I got widescreen working by editing the settings.cfg as described but the downside is you cant go into the video menu in FEAR to make any graphic changes etc. after doing this, if you do the game resets to 640x480 mode so be sure you have it setup the way you want first... Maybe if enough people complain they'l fix this with a future patch ...but I doubt it :disgust:
