Does Everquest work with Windows 2000?

Dont get sucked into the addiction!!

Run away.... Run away....

_____________

Friends dont let Friends get hooked on Evercrack

EQ is now going to require Direct X 7. I am not sure if Win2k supports 7, does it??

Evercrack is an addiction. I will... not... allow... myself.... to... be... sucked... back... in.....

Yeah that's why I have not bought Everquest yet, the addiction factor and the fact that I have to pay per month. My friend got so addicted that he'd demand to play it when i was over at his house. That game would probably ruin my life.

I believe that Win 2000 comes with DirectX 7.0 already. Also, I believe unlike NT 4, the Direct X version in Win 2k is upgradable, so you could upgrade 7.0 to 7.0a. I'm almost positive that DX 7 is already installed when you install Win 2k though.

I think 7.0a is the initial DirectX version that comes with Win2k. That means no need to upgrade until 8.0.

Time Magazine did an article about EQ a year ago...called it "Virtual Crack." 🙂 When I quit, I E*bay'd my character out in parts, then sold the bare account...made about $1400.00 clams, so at least there was a return on investment 🙂 UO2 is the next hot one...there goes another year of my life
