I called Antec asked if any of their power supplies were SSI compliant. They told me that all of their TP series supplies were compliant but could not tell me how that was specified in the literature or specs.

Now I could not find any reference to SSI compliance in their manuals or materials and when looking at the marketing for other brands they specifically state that the PSU is SSI compliant in some cases.

The motherboard manual states the PSU must meet ATX 2.02 and be SSI compliant.

So how do I know if a CPU is SSI compliant? Does epsv12 mean SSI compliance?

thanks.

If it has an EPS12v connector, it is an SSI compliant PSU, no worries there.

I dug through the manual a bit more and the SSI spec was detailed as the SSI EPS spec.....so good on that front 🙂

I check with Seasonic on their SeaSonic S12 II SS-430GB 430W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 has only one 8-pin connector. Some motherboards require 2, the SuperMicro does not.

thanks for the great reply.
