Does elite member status still mean anything?

Not a whole lot.

some of them are awsome, some are assholes, just like most the rest of AT.

Being elite just means you were helpful at one point in time 😉

It kinda does, there are some elite members you can count on to be helpful and knowledgable, others i have no clue why they are elite other than they are mods or good friends of mods.

We are mods, we have no friends. Having friends would make it difficult to ban people just on a whim.

If enough people ask the mods to make someone elite, it will probably happen.

Not saying that it is necessarily a popularity contest or anything... but it doesnt hurt.

And there are users that will never be given the title of "elite" because of stupid petty bullshit.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that being an ATOT only member helps your chances at becoming elite. :|
 
All being Elite means is that you get a key to the special restroom where you don't have to worry about all the little kiddies peeing on the toilet, the towels are always freshly washed and folded, instead of having to grab paper ones from a dispenser. We get to sit at the top table, we always get served first, AND THE BEER IS ALWAYS FRESH AND COLD.
