It sure drives me crazy. For one I can't get good, consistent d/l speeds. I went from 40 to 4 today in the span of about 10 mins. 🙁 I don't know if it's my ISP or what.

I spent 12 hours d/l a movie. The fool thing wouldn't play. 650 MB for nothing.

The eDonkey homepage's help files are just crap, too.

Da donkey's bin veddy good to me. Your downloadtyimes will vary due to da nature of da beast. The files are sliced up and you download a slice at a time. You could be downloading 30 slices fron 30 users and you'd get top speeds. Or 1 slice from 1 user and get slow speeds. At any given time I am uploading to 10+ people at speeds ranging from 0.9 to 10 per sec. I capped it at 10. Go to the forums. Much better help there. A lodda tweaks too!
 

You won't get consistent speed because you're downloading directly from other people, not from an actual eDonkey server. So if you have two people sharing 20k/sec each and one of them drops, you're down from 40k/sec to 20k/sec. That's how it works.

So no, it doesn't drive me crazy 🙂
