This is what ECS says, this is release note from second newest bios.

The latest bios supports the new Durons.

Is XP 2600+ at 166 a Barton.
Also, what is a thorton?

2600+ is a throughbred. although AMD did make it as a barton but only recently and they arent redadily available yet

thorton is the "new duron"

Depends on the revision of the board, really. K7VTA3 has come a long way, starting out with the KT266 chipset and moving up all the way to KT333A. Check with www.ecs.com.tw - there's a detailed CPU compatibility chart there in the support section.

they only show compatibility for athlon XP and duron, it shows my particular supports up to 2800+ BUT that can still be the throughbred
