Does eating slower benefit you at all health wise?

Yeah, anything you see on Comedy Central should be incorporated into your life as scientific fact, I "guese".

One other factor to take into account for slow eaters, as you eat relatively absorbant foods like bread, etc., they slowly expand in your stomach (especially if you're drinking liquids while eating).

Say you go to one of these restaraunts that gives you complimentary rolls. If you eat two or three but your meal comes right away you will probably continue to eat. If you eat the same 2-3 rolls but then have to wait 30 minutes for your meal, allowing the rolls to settle and expand in your stomach, you will not be as hungry and will likely end up with a doggie bag that afternoon.
