It's not eating at night that matters. it sounds like you are referring to a late night snack. It is the snack that will promote weifght gain.

Eating at night doesmake it harder to fall asleep though. Body pumps more blood so your body can process the food.

It's actually best to eat before bed, because that's when your body recovers and rebuilds. The more good stuff you get in before bed, the more your body has to work with. Especially if you want to put on any muscle at all, you need some slow digesting protein close to bedtime.

I eat a chicken breast, a banana, drink a glass of milk, and take a multivitamin before bedtime and I have visible abs(203 lbs). ;)

It's probably thought to put on weight because most people are like my fat worthless roommate who order pizza at midnight and eat half of it and complain that they can't lose weight.

You eat 2000 calories a day.

You eat 500 in the morning, 500 in the afternoon 1000 at night.

You eat 1000 in the morning, 700 in the afternoon 300 at night.

What's the difference?

there's no difference. other than most people who are gorging late at night eat more than they should.

WRONG!!!!!

Argh

Some people!

Your insuln sensitivity decreases throughout the day.

See my previous post for an explanation.

I don't buy it. And yes, I saw the article.

And I suppose you have a ph.D in kinesiology and hae your own theory as to insulin response?

Or are you one of the 'eat bagels and soybeans and rice cakes to lose weight' type of people?

Who has a PhD in kinesiology?

That's right. Cals-excersise-metabolism=weight loss or gain for that day.

Nothing else in this eqaution, no magic pills, not the type of food and not the time which you eat it. Old wives tale.

There is this stuff that will burn 700 calories a day. I forget what it's called, plus it's very dangerous and illegal. But you can lose weight by just taking pills. ECA stacks burn 50-75 calories if I remember correctly. But 50 out of 2000 isn't significant at all.

I said "magic pills" meaning ones that won't raise your metabolism unaturally which is harmful to your body. Sure somke some crack you'll loose weight:)

Does smoking crack raise your metabolism unaturally? Or does it just take away hunger?
