Does Dothan use DDR or DDR2?

I know that the SODIMMs currently installed ar 2x256mb DDR PC2700. I read in another thread that they were using DDR2 RAM to upgrade their Dothan.

I just need to know what RAM I should put in a Pentium M (Dothan) 1.8Ghz laptop.

Thanks.

Well the memory used is dependent on the motherboard chipset rather than the CPU...so you didn't give nearly enough info. But if it's using PC2700 DDR right now..then you need DDR..DDR2 is NOT backwards compatible.

Correct. I slept about 30 minutes last night, and the original post was at the tail end of the crap. I did research and it's an Intel i855 chipset, so it's DDR.

Now, to figure out how easily the RAM on this laptop can be replaced, and which grade of DDR I should buy.
