Does disabling PCI 2.1 on ASUS P4S533 affect IDE performance/throughput?

I have an old PCI card that does not support PCI 2.1 -- according to Matrox that should cause PCI 2.1 to be disabled, though I have taken the additional step to disable it in the BIOS as well. I seem the remember that the IDE support is actually provided via the PCI bus, so will disabling PCI 2.1 do anything to my IDE capabilities (performance and/or throughput??)
