Never heard of such a thing. You'd probably get more for it on eBay or the FS/FT forum than they'd give you anyway. THey would have to give you a lowball offer so they can make more money when they turn around and sell it to someone else.
no, dell does not do that, but if you have a warranty and the thing breaks enough, they may replace it with a newer model towards the end of the warranty period.
