Does dell buy back parts?

I think I read that here on the board, but I am not sure how true it is. Would dell buy back the memory that is coming in my laptop since I will be replacing all of it? Anyone know if dell does this?

If they did they would have to rent warehouses to house all the the black 48x CD-ROM drives out of all the Hot Deals computers after people dropped in a quality DVD writer.
