Does DDR memory really offer THAT much more performance? considering my upgrade options in light of AthlonXP...

I was thinking about getting the Epox 8KHA+ and 256MB DDR memory. But really is there really that much difference between a KT133A and a KT266A mobo? I have a crappy plain old KT133 mobo right now with 512MB of Crucial PC133 so you see I'm really not getting the full benefit of the memory I have considering the KT133s' 100/200Mhz FSB. I'm wondering if all I really need is to go to a KT133A mobo, keep the memory I have now, and just get an Athlon XP to enjoy a good performance boost... I don't really game hard so I prolly wouldn't see much difference from a KT266A. I do enjoying using a TV tuner to record video and tv shows though.... Just don't want to waste my money seeing as I can get an ECS KT133A mobo from newegg for $60.... Oh decisions, decisions....

If that Crucial is in 2 sticks of 256, you could get the ECS K7S5A. It has 2 SDR slots and 2 DDR slots, runs on the SIS 735 chipset, and is generally faster than the KT133A I think, though most reviews have used the DDR slots for RAM, not the SDR.
