Does DBAN work on SATA drives?

I've used it on Dell GX520's which are SATA drives. I used a floppy though although I don't think there is a difference between the two.
 
Just used dban on an HP DX5150 which runs SATA. Worked like a charm. We use a floppy image over a pxe boot system here.
