im using win2k. if i lock the computer so no one else can use it, will the d.net client keep working in the background while the password screen is displayed? or will this cause the client to pause?

thanks.

I'm assuming that when you say "running in background" you mean that it is installed as a service. It keeps running as long as the client is running as a service. If it is in your startup folder then it will be shutdown.

edit: misread the question

sciencewhiz, i just installed it normally and it is in my start up folder. will that mean it isn't going to be running when its locked?

thanks for the replies.

im stupid, why didn't i just check its progress and then lock it, come back in 5 mins and see if it has progressed 🙂

it is definately working.
